It worked! But it also is able to draw other impurities too. 💚

If your kids get splinters often, run around bare feet a lot, or just need extra support, try this one out!

If you’ve ever Googled “natural remedies for X If you’ve ever Googled “natural remedies for X that are safe for kids” at 2am… this is for you.

I remember that sickness isn’t failure… it’s the body working hard to heal and grow stronger.

I reach for herbal allies from my prepped shelf (more on this at the end): elderberry for immune support, chamomile for comfort, peppermint or ginger for upset tummies, and mullein with honey to ease coughs. I keep them resting & hydrated.

If a fever comes, I don’t rush to fight it… I support it. Herbal baths, cool cloths, chamomile tea, and lots of snuggles go a long way.

Mostly, I stay present and grounded. I’ve learned that my calm is part of their medicine. 🌿

They overcome it without much intervention 98% of the time and their immune system is stronger for it.

If you want to become a calm, confident mom even when your kids are sick… I just released my new ebook “Confident Herbal Motherhood.” 📖

It teaches you all the basics, 12 top herbs for kids + every way to use them, and time-tested recipes when you need them most.

Grab it through the 🔗 in my bio and finally have peace of mind.

The time and method of steeping have a huge impact The time and method of steeping have a huge impact on what herbal constituents (and what benefits) you actually extract.

🌿 Short Infusion (around 10 minutes)

Typical for: pleasant teas, aromatic herbs, lighter energetics

What you extract well:
• Volatile oils (aromatic compounds that give flavor and scent — think peppermint, chamomile, lemon balm)
• Some flavonoids and polyphenols (antioxidant compounds)
• Simple sugars and light tannins
• Water-soluble vitamins (some B vitamins, a bit of vitamin C)

Result:
• Lighter, more fragrant beverage
• Excellent for mood support, digestion, relaxation, and acute use
• Doesn’t extract much mineral or mucilage content so it’s not as deeply nutritive

🌾 Long Infusion (2–10 hours or overnight)

Typical for: mineral-rich, nutritive herbs, and deep tonics

What you extract more of:
• Minerals: calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, manganese (released slowly from plant cell walls)
•!Polysaccharides and mucilage: soothing and moistening compounds (especially from marshmallow, oatstraw, comfrey leaf, plantain)
• Proteins and amino acids
• Tannins (in greater amounts)
• More flavonoids, saponins, and alkaloids (depending on the herb)
• Bitters and astringents that require longer extraction

Result:
• Deep, rich flavor (sometimes dark, almost broth-like)
• More grounding, mineralizing, and nourishing to tissues over time
• Energetically “earthy,” building, and sustaining
